Foot and Ankle Specialists
At The Tagoe Clinic, we have brought together a team of specialists with the aim of providing expert and holistic medical care of the foot and ankle. We believe that the foot and ankle requires specialist management, particularly in view of the complex nature of many common problems affecting the lower limb.
One of the unique features of the Clinic is the emphasis we place on determining the true cause of your problem. It is our experience that an accurate diagnosis is essential before truly effective treatment may begin. Arriving at an accurate diagnosis requires clinical expertise which and is often assisted by rapid access to a wide range of imaging techniques, such as magnetic resonance and ultrasound scans.
Once a diagnosis has been reached, we believe that informed choice is the most appropriate way forward. As the centre of the team we strive to educate you on your condition (the cause, the likely outcome and treatment options) This empowers you to take an active part in the decision making process, as it is generally accepted that fully informed patient’s respond better to treatment.
The management of foot and ankle problems can require one or a combination of treatments.
